Calling All Thrill Seekers-Let’s See What You Got
One’s idea of a thrill will vary from person to person. For some it is driving home in rush hour traffic or maybe driving the Strip on a Saturday night. That can take the wind out of the bravest of us.
There is one place though, in Las Vegas, that can offer something to satisfy any thrill seeker. It is the Stratosphere Tower, located at the most northern point of the Strip.
It towers 1149 feet into the air and is the tallest free standing observation tower in the United States. It is almost twice as high as the Seattle Space Needle.
Near the top of the tower is an observation deck. From here you can get a bird’s eye view of the Strip and downtown. On the very top, roof area are some very scary rides. There is the Big Shot where you can shoot 160 feet into the air and experience some cool G forces.
The is also Insanity the Ride where you will be dangled off the side of the Tower at 900 feet above the Strip. An octopus like turning arm will let you spin 64 feet over the side of the Tower along with other terrified thrill riders.
How about the opportunity to jump out a window via a zip line ride called the Sky Jump? A 40 mile per hour control free fall. Nothing like it.
