Championship Starts April 26th-Not What You Think

shutterstock_228878062Las Vegas is the home of many championship contests whether it be boxing, poker, blackjack, or some other competitive event. Some of these will have very high national visibility.  Who, at the time, didn’t know about the Mike Tyson-Evander Holyfield bout in 1996? It was big. And, there is the annual WSOP, World Series of Poker. It, too, draws a lot of attention.

There is another championship that apparently doesn’t get the attention that it should. It is the annual APA, American Poolplayer Association, championship. This year the competition will take place at the Westgate, former LVH, on Paradise.

The event kicks off this Tuesday, April 26th. The 8-Ball Classic will go from April 27-May 1. The 9-Ball Shootout will run from April 27-29.

Pool, on this level, is very high skill. It is fun to play and fun to watch the masters do their thing. This APA championship is something you may want to try. There is still time.
