Experience Strip’s Dark Side Tomorrow Night

solar-eclipse-151211_960_720You may lose your way while walking the Strip tomorrow night. It’s not a new thing that will happen, but it may be startling to some people who are not aware of what is taking place. It will be “Earth Hour” in Vegas for the 7th time.

Saturday night, the Las Vegas Strip will go dark. How rare is that? It’s not because the casinos didn’t pay their electric bill or is part of a cost savings program. It is to raise awareness of climate change. It seems you can’t keep the politics even out of Las Vegas.

At 7:30 PM til 8:3o PM Pacific Time, the outside lights on major casinos will cut their power. These include Planet Hollywood, MGM Caesars Palace, Luxor, Paris’ Eiffel Tower, and more.

If you are a “climate change denier,” you may want to stay downtown. Regardless of one’s political views or belief about climate change, it will be a strange, surreal experience especially for those who don’t know what’s going on.
