Attention All Trekkies! Beam Down To The Rio August 3-7-This Is Big!!!

shutterstock_34186327According to Wikipedia, the original Star Trek television series aired on NBC from September 8, 1966 to June 3, 1969. It was a shock and great disappointment to those many early Trekkies that the series was cancelled. They thought it was the unjustified death of a great sci-fi program. Who knew that it would still be alive, well, and thriving today.

There is great news for today’s Trekkies, and I am one.  The 50th Anniversary Star Trek Convention  will be held at the Rio Hotel and Casino from August 3-7, 2016. It will be huge so mark your calendars and make your plans now. Tickets are already available.
