tableware-415112_960_720There are tremendous shopping opportunities in Las Vegas. For the rich and famous, or for people with some serious green, there is the Caesar’s Palace Forum Shops.

For the budget minded there is the Las Vegas Outlet Mall, about two miles south of Mandalay Bay at Warm Springs. There is also the North Las Vegas Premium Outlet Mall on Grandview, just off of West Charleston at I-15.

However, these and the other malls, strip shopping centers, and outlet malls are your standard shopping experience. How about something really different, something that will add an additional dose of fun and variety to your shopping experience?

Have you ever heard of the Fantastic Indoor Swapmeet? Probably not, unless you live in Las Vegas or just happened to stumble upon it. I’ve shopped there quite a few times and it is always a unique outing.

Inside, you will find hundreds of shops offering thousands of brands. You will find everything from magic tricks, to wigs, jewelry, coffee, music, cosmetics, and about anything else you can imagine. This is not a place where people bring their junk to sell. You can find some fine items here and save money. Here, you can wheel and deal a little, at least with some of the merchants.

The Swapmeet is located on Decatur Boulevard, just a block or so north of W. Sahara on the corner of West Oakey. There is an entrance fee, but you can get a coupon and learn more here.
